How fast is it, really?
Your free cast preview takes about a minute. After you order and confirm the details, the full case arrives within 24 hours (48 for Office / Team), usually sooner. If your party is very soon, say so in the order form and we'll do everything we can.
Does it work on Zoom or Teams?
Yes. Every guest gets a private link to their own packet, and your host page shows the clue cards round by round so you can share your screen. Breakout rooms make excellent interrogation rooms.
What if the logic doesn't hold up?
Every case is checked to have exactly one solution: each innocent suspect is ruled out by a specific clue, and the killer is the only person who fits every fact. If you still find a hole, we rewrite it free.
Who writes it?
Every case starts from one of our handcrafted plots, with the clues and logic worked out in advance. The personal writing for your guests is computer-assisted and then checked for logic, consistency and anything unkind before it reaches you.
Could anyone's feelings get hurt?
Traits are used affectionately: teasing, never mean. We stay away from looks, age, health, religion, politics, romance, money, family status, ethnicity, gender and drinking, and you can mark anyone who shouldn't be the killer or the victim. Awards are always positive, and you approve them before anything is made.
How many people can play?
4 to 40. Bigger groups get extra characters with their own side mysteries and objectives, so nobody spends the night holding a drink and nothing else.
Can the host play too?
Yes. The solution is sealed at the back of the host guide and hidden behind its own button on your host page. Just ask someone else to hold the guide.
What do I need to print?
Nothing, if you'd rather go digital. For the full effect, print the clue cards, the invitations and the host guide. Packets can be printed or read on phones.
What's your refund policy?
Changed your mind before your case is delivered? Full refund. After delivery, if something's wrong we'll rewrite it free, and if we still can't make it right, you get your money back. Details on our terms page.
How long does a game take?
About two hours with mingling, three rounds of clues and the reveal. Every round is flexible, so you can stretch it over dinner or run it in a lunch hour.
